The strontium isotope composition of production water, used in conjunction with SrRSA data from core, can assist with water allocation. Such an approach would be applicable to a time series of produced water samples. The oxygen and hydrogen isotope composition of water can differentiate between seawater, meteoric water and evolved basinal brine. Combined Sr-O-H data can therfore, further constrain the geological origin of test water samples. Combining Sr-O-H isotopes with chemistry and physical properties can provide a complete characterisation of water samples. | ![]() | |||||||||||||||||||||||
